Company Background:

United Dynamics is a small business-certified Hub Zone located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. United Dynamics started in 1993 by reverse engineering aerospace parts to help the USG with obsolete parts. This company has an engineering staff capable of designing and reverse engineering numerous types of aerospace parts and solutions. United Dynamics is approved for manufacturing over 168 National Stock Numbers (NSNs). This includes in-house machining capabilities, parts assembly, and testing. United Dynamics has an MRO shop and is approved to overhaul over 53 National Stock Numbers (NSNs). This company manufactures and overhauls aerospace parts for numerous aircraft, including: KC-135, B-52, B1, B2, E3, A-10, F-15, F-16, KC-46, and C-130. United Dynamics history of sales is specifically Department of Defense (DOD) sales.

Position Summary:

Assist Procurement Manager and Procurement Staff as assigned. Ensure all procurement activities are in accordance with established operating procedures and highest standards of ethical conduct. Adhere to all company procedures, core values and policies.

Requires a willingness to work outside of normal business hours to meet deadlines, if necessary.

Must be able to communicate in the English Language.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review assigned requisitions
  • Research, evaluate and quote product(s)/service(s) required
  • Communicate with suppliers on requests for quotations (RFQ)
  • Prepare RFQ packages for Procurement Manager’s review and approval
  • Prepare analyses and place purchase orders within the authorized limits and under the review of Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer
  • Obtain product and services with the best TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) at an acceptable quality level and desired delivery dates
  • Promote positive supplier relationships through courtesy and impartiality
  • Monitor and communicate with suppliers on PO placement, expedites, invoice and/or shipping discrepancies, pickup and/or shipping schedule(s) and information, rejections, RMA’s, complaints, pricing and availability
  • Assist in maintenance of records including solicitations, PO’s, quotations, deliveries, rejections, supplier information and performance data, sample requests, and the update of records as necessary
  • Generate correspondence, status reports, and any other data as required by the Procurement Manager
  • Assist in coordinating projects as directed by Procurement Manager to improve the overall efficiency of the procurement function(s)
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and stakeholders with expedites, issues, resolutions and any other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships between Procurement, internal and external customers
  • Handle confidential or proprietary information with proper consideration of ethical and legal ramifications and all governmental regulations
  • Conformation and awareness of United Dynamics, Inc.’s Quality Management System

  • Other duties as assigned

Reporting Relationship:

Reports directly to the Procurement Manager.

Job Requirements

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Technical Requirements Skills:

  • Five years of progressive experience in procurement activities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing business applications and concepts
  • Knowledge of quality assurance philosophies, practices, and techniques
  • Excel
  • MRP
